Application for Singapore passport
Learn more about applying for a Singapore Biometric Passport online via APPLES or at the Embassy, required documents, photo guidelines, fees, and processing times.
Applications for Singapore Biometric Passports can be made online or submitted at the Embassy. All applications submitted at the Embassy will be forwarded to the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) for processing.
Singaporeans are encouraged submit their applications online using the Application for Passport Online Electronic System (APPLES) and request that for your passport be sent to the Embassy for collection.
(Please note that if your passport is lost / stolen / damaged, you cannot submit an application for replacement passport online. For more information on what to do if you lose your passport in Cambodia, please click here.)
For identification and security reasons, you must attend the Mission in person at least once, either when you complete your application or when you collect your passport. If you apply online, you will need to produce all required documents when you collect your passport.
Documents required
Completed application Form [IMM (E) 11 (OS)].The form can be obtained from the Embassy or downloaded online.
One recent colour passport-sized photograph (Please see photograph requirements below)
If your passport was lost and you are applying for a replacement passport, the following additional documents are required:
Copy of police report (in English) or statutory declaration
Identity Card or any other identity document to prove your citizenship status
For Adults:
Current Singapore passport
Singapore Identity Card (IC)
For Applicants aged below 16 years old:
Birth certificate
Identity Card (IC) of a consenting parent or legal guardian
Citizenship certificate for applicants who are Singapore citizens by registration and do not have an IC
Current Singapore passport (if any).
Photo guidelines
35 mm wide by 45 mm high without border and taken within the last three months;
Taken full face without headgear, unless the applicant habitually wears a headgear in accordance with religious or racial customs. The headgear must not hide the applicant's facial features;
Facial image must be between 25 mm and 35 mm from chin to crown; and
Taken against plain white background with a matt or semi-matt finish.
If you are taking the photo on your mobile phone, we recommend that you download and use mobile apps that are specifically designed to take photographs for passport or identity card applications. These apps usually come with features that will help you take photographs in the required dimensions. The photograph will be accepted if it complies with our photo guidelines.Please note that your photograph must not be altered or enhanced in any way. This includes the modification of facial features and/or the usage of photo editing software.
Photographs which do not meet the requirements can result in a delay in the application. We strongly recommend against using a mobile phone to take a selfie as the result is usually not ideal and will cause delay to your application.
